How Do you Find Time to Read More

Alex says “I squeeze in extra reading wherever I can: in the bath, on any public transport, when I’m eating on my own, when I am waiting for someone to arrive, and whenever my partner is watching football on the tv! I always read in bed at night but getting a few more minutes of reading a book I’m really into is so precious.”

Becca says “I read out loud to the baby. I share my favourite books with him even though he has no idea what I am saying. This allows me to read and him to hear my voice!”

Kelly says “I listen to audiobooks whilst laying next to my daughter waiting for her to fall asleep”

Jen says “I listen to audiobooks while cleaning and cooking….makes them so much more fun!”

Emma says “Instead of reaching for my phone when I have a few minutes of downtime, I reach for a book. I only manage a few pages at a time but not only do I finish more books, I also find that it helps my mental health instead of endlessly scrolling through my phone.”

Anjum says “I like to read as a way of taking time out, so might spend half an hour after work just switching off to read and if it’s nice weather, I like to sit in the garden to read too.”
