Eggs there is no escaping them at the moment as April sees the arrival of Easter - hen, duck, chocolate, paper, china or even plastic eggs. They are one of the most versatile of foods, though it is too difficult to choose my favourite way of enjoying them. Boiled, fried, scrambled or poached. Then of course there is baking with eggs - ooh cakes! What is your perfect egg?
|Who fancies poached egg?|
Do you know how to boil the perfect egg? I simple task but there is a fine balance in getting from a runny, soft to hard yolk.
- hard boiled egg - perfect for those egg sandwiches for an afternoon tea
- soft boiled egg - perfect for dipping those soldiers of bread and butter or toast.
Lion eggs have an easy to follow guide to help you with how to boil an egg. You will also find some really useful information on egg nutrition and egg safety.
Did you know the an egg contains an average of 55 to 80 calories depending on its size. Now that has got to be much healthy than a chocolate Easter egg!
Lion Eggs are offering one of my blog readers the chance to #win a copy of the Michel Roux recipe book Eggs.
